The Devonshire Fell Hotel -A Beautiful Wedding in the Heart of the Dales

This was a crazy, crazy day of wedding photography but the most fun at the same time. There was an awful lot of ground to cover as Ksenia and Joe needed to get married first at Skipton Registry Office followed by a blessing at St Wilfrid’s Church and on to The Devonshire Fell Hotel at Burndall. The sun shone all day and Ksenia’s smile was radiant throughout. The day was all the more special as Ksenia’s parents and brother had made it over from Russia. Looking back at the photos, preparing this post, I am struck by just how happy everyone looks! What a wonderful day with lots of “wedding moments” to look back upon.
Ksenia and Joe held their reception at the Devonshire Fell Hotel overlooking the River Wharfe above Burnsall. Below are but a selection of images from their wonderful wedding. I love to be documentary in my approach and this was a wedding which really leant itself to this style.
Favourite parts of the day included our stroll through Burnsall photographing Ksenia and Joe as they walked by the river amidst the day trippers, the shots of them under the bridge, not to mention throwing the bouquet and popping champagne corks! Wishing you both, your families and friends all the very best for the future.
